36-Hour Intensive Program
Organized by:
ANTARANG Psychosocial Research & Training Institute
Sitapaila, Kathmandu
About the Training
The Psychosocial Worker (PSW) Training is a foundational program designed to develop skilled individuals capable of providing basic mental health and psychosocial support at the community level.
Originally developed during Nepal’s conflict period, the PSW model has played a vital role in responding to urgent psychosocial needs by training and mobilizing community-based workers across the country.
In today’s context — shaped by migration, family disruption, substance use, trauma, gender-based violence, and rising mental health concerns — the need for trained psychosocial workers remains both relevant and urgent.
ANTARANG is relaunching this training, contextualized to current psychosocial realities, with a focus on practical skills, ethical practice, and community impact.
